Welcome

Discover Something More!

Welcome to First Presbyterian Church of Goshen, IN. We are delighted to have you visit our site. In this section of our website we want to give you some basic information about our congregation.

We want you to know what to expect if you visit, what we believe, what our goals are, how we work together, and introduce you to our leaders.  In addition we want you to know how you can become a part of our congregation if you discover this is the place where God is calling you to grow and use your gifts.

Located in Downtown Goshen, we are a congregation seeking to learn the spiritual rhythms and practices of Jesus in order to grow closer to God. We are excited about what God is doing in our midst.

We hope you will visit us.

What to expect on Sunday Morning

Getting here is pretty easy. Check our directions and maps for help.

There is plenty of parking available in the city lot off of 5th Street (Lot E).

Please dress however you feel most comfortable.  You will see a few coats and ties or dresses, lots of business casual, lots of jeans.  In the summer we have a few people in shorts.  So please dress as you prefer.

There are plenty of restrooms located throughout the church. Some of these are also equipped with baby changing tables.  Infant & Toddler Care as well as Children's Sunday School (K-5) are available during all Sunday morning worship services. Of course your children are always welcome in worship.

The Sanctuary is wheelchair-accessible. The ushers or members will be glad to assist you. We also have hearing assistance aids for your use.

Everyone is welcome. We welcome people of all ages, races, nationalities, ethnic groups, and whatever your place in life. We look forward to meeting you and for you to discover our church family.

We always have refreshments before and after the worship service.  Many weeks it’s almost like a continental breakfast.  We hope you will come early or stay afterwards and visit.  We have some great people.

We value people wherever they are on their spiritual journey.  Don’t be afraid to share your questions or your doubts.  Don’t feel like you have to check your brains at the door.  Our pastor would be delighted to visit with you.  He won’t try to talk you into anything.  He will try to help you engage your questions more fully.  We don’t believe we have all the answers.  We do know our experience with God is real.  We also believe that God is bigger than anyone can ever fully know, as individuals, congregations, denominations, or religions.
